The warmth of your hands is enough to soften the wrap so it moulds around food or over a bowl, cooling to form a light seal that holds well in the fridge. Fruit, vegetables, bread, cheese, cut herbs, half a lemon: it handles most everyday food storage jobs without needing a single bag or sheet of film.
